Bullying Prevention

How you can help...

Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. School Counselors and Administrators take each report of bullying behavior seriously - the trouble is, most instances go unreported.

Do your part!  If you are a victim of bullying - or if you see an act of bullying, REPORT IT!  Use the link below to make a request to see a School Counselor and take a step to end BULLYING!

Make a difference!

Rising 6th graders

Welcome to Peter Muhlenberg!

Here are the steps to becoming a new Patriot!

1.  PMMS School Counselors travel to W.W.Robinson Elementary to talk to each 5th grade class about scheduling.  Class registration papers are sent home for parents and students to approve and return.

2.  5th grade students are welcomed over for a tour of the building and an Orientation program in April.  Students get their first look at PMMS, find some PMMS gear and get excited about middle school!

3.  A parent night and information session is also held in April.  Parents attend a presentation about scheduling, middle school do's and don'ts and a Q & A opportunity.

4.  OPEN HOUSE!  Students are able to get their completed schedules, meet teachers, try their lockers, and get ready for their first day!

we look forward to

having you at PMMS!

8th Grade Transition to High School

Gearing up for Central!

All 8th grade students will meet with their counselor to work on their Academic and Career Plan. This document is flexible and will follow the student through high school. It is intended to help students look towards their future and plan coursework accordingly. Students may change this document at any time to fit their plan more accurately as they move through school. During the spring semester counselors from Central will be coming to walk our 8th graders through the process of scheduling classes for 9th grade.

There will be a parent night at Central High School in the spring that will give information about transitioning to high school. Before school begins in the fall students will have the opportunity to attend the Falcon Final Four. This is a time for students to walk through their schedule for 9th grade, meet teachers, and feel better equipped to start their 9th grade year!

For questions about high school classes and scheduling, contact the CHS School Counseling Office at (540) 459-0678.

best of luck to you at CHS!
